  • A while ago I had a friend.
Fandom rocked by SHOCK REVELATION that gay male fic writer not actually male in real life (but probably still likes men)! It's like mind rape! says one victim.

  • You've Come Far Enough, Baby
I hear it a lot, phrased in different ways, the idea that women have come far enough and should shut the fuck up already. That there is no longer a need for feminism, that feminism is antiquated - that is so 1975.

  • "The Things We Never Talk About"
How can you tell when a story is good? How do you know when a story is finished? How do you edit effectively? How can you pick a good editing choice from a bad one? Can you learn "talent"?

  • Read for meeeeeee & Sturgeon's Law on TeeVeeeeeee
Imagine that you wanted to tell stories, but all kinds of forces were acting to ensure that you can't do a really good job -- or at minimum, that you can't control whether the job turns out well.

  • Liver for breakfast then?
Here's an interesting moral conundrum: A genetic mutant talks about the discomfort she feels watching the portrayal of mutant enemies (hah!) on MOTW shows like The X-Files. I definitely agree on the hatred of the "biology is destiny" trope.

  • "Anonymous" holds anti-Scientology protests worldwide
To be honest, I never got why people get so butthurt over Scientology. I mean, seriously, can someone please explain to me why it's any worse than any other organised religion? They just seem a bit too much like easy targets.

  • Hey, you've got your canon in my fanfic!
However it seems rather unsurprising to me that a male writer is not going to relate well to the rather common experience of a woman who has an admirer she doesn't want to connect with.

  • Bloxes
It's like LEGO, but for grown-ups, made of cardboard and can support your weight. Awesome!

  • Posting to Twitter from the Terminal Window
One day I'm going to use this to, like I dunno, do something awesome... I just need to figure out what.

For those of you who aren't hip enough to have Macs, and therefore can't run Delicious Library, here's the poor man's Windows version.

  • 35 Fantastic HDR Pictures
What is this HDR and were can I get some?

  • Spooky Dee "EMOS"
Well, I thought it was pretty funny.

  • Install PowerPoint Viewer 2007 to get Vista Fonts in XP
I'm totally Corbel's bitch so if you don't already have the Vista fonts, I heartily recommend this cheap and dirty way of getting them.
